What we do

Thirty services, four kinds of problem

Cars, homes, businesses and the moments when you are simply on the wrong side of a locked door. Every service links to a page of its own - and then to a version written for your town.

Where we work

38 towns across three counties

Either side of the Maryland-Delaware line, from the head of the Chesapeake down the Route 13 spine into central Delaware. Pick your town for the detail that actually applies to it.

Cecil County, MD

The Maryland side of the I-95 corridor between Baltimore and Wilmington — Elkton, the North East River towns and the farm country running up to the Pennsylvania line.

Harford County, MD

From the Bel Air courthouse and the US-40 corridor through Aberdeen and Havre de Grace, out to the horse farms of Jarrettsville and Fallston.

New Castle County, DE

Delaware's northern county and its busiest — Wilmington and the Route 202 corridor, the university town of Newark, the fast-growing Route 301 side around Middletown, and the colonial river towns below.

Kent County, DE

Delaware's middle county — the capital at Dover, the Route 13 towns, the Air Force Base and the farm crossroads in between.

How it works

What happens after you ring us

  1. Get in touch

Ring us or send the details through the site. Either reaches the same person and gets the same answer.

  2. We scope the job

What kind of lock, what kind of door, what has already been attempted. Three questions, and we know what to bring.

  3. We arrive equipped

The right blanks, the right programmer, the right hardware. Turning up and then going away again helps nobody.

  4. You check it yourself

Try the key. Work the lock. Shut the door. If anything is not right we sort it there and then.

Questions people ask us

What areas do you cover?

We cover Cecil County, MD, Harford County, MD, New Castle County, DE, Kent County, DE - 38 towns in total. The counties are the boundary, so if your town is not listed it may still be inside the area.

Do you come to me, or do I come to you?

We come to you for almost everything. Our address is a working shop, but in-store visits are by appointment only - please call before travelling to us.

Why are there no figures quoted on the site?

Because an honest number is not possible in advance. What a job takes depends on the exact lock or vehicle, what has already been tried and where you are. Call, describe it, and we will tell you what is involved.

When are you open?

Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Friday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Closed Saturdays.

Can you make a car key if I have lost every copy?

Yes. That is a normal job rather than an unusual one - see car key replacement and lost car key replacement.

I just bought a house. What should I do first?

Rekey it. You have no way of knowing how many copies of that key exist or who has them. See lock rekeying.

On the wrong side of a locked door?

Call and talk to someone who actually does this work. In-store visits are by appointment only.
